Research

Recognising a paucity of material that explores the interface of law with social realities, PLD undertakes action research to create evidence, new knowledge and information resources. Through collaborative processes of knowledge creation, we gather insights from local, national and global locations to co-create new understandings. Our publications speak to ways in which law impacts lives of different groups of women, reinforcing their marginalisation through their differential access to justice. We endeavour to provide diverse resources accessible to trainers, educators, NGOs, lawyers and judges, students, and social workers. The resources comprise of research studies, information on law, posters, videos and web archives of the women’s movements engagement with the law.

We are committed to the democratisation of knowledge and therefore its wide dissemination and usage to promote educational and social justice goals. Unless explicitly stated, all materials can be used under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial India 2.5 License. We look forward to suggestions for improvement and feedback on the ways in which our resources have come handy in your work.
