Internships

PLD is an excellent platform to become part of the women’s movement and deepen one’s understanding of contemporary feminist legal debates from the local to the global level. Our staff is encouraged to build their capacities and enhance their responsibilities over time to grow within the internal structure of the organization. The organisational policy is designed to facilitate collective spirit, quality, smooth functioning, dignity of labour and mindful use of resources We work in contexts of marginalisation shaped by gender, sexuality, caste, culture and poverty; hence all applicants are expected to have an understanding of intersectionality. We welcome internship applications across three different categories:

(1) Law: a background in law and familiarity with feminist debates in India. Knowledge of international law an asset.

(2) Gender studies: those with a background in social sciences/ gender studies, and familiar with feminist debates on women’s rights in India;
