PLD is a legal resource group pursuing the realisation of social justice and equality for all women. We work in contexts of marginalisation shaped by gender, sexuality, caste, culture and poverty, to take into account intersecting systems of oppression that impact recognition and access to rights. PLD pursues its goals through three mutually complementary strategies – of building capacities, creating evidence-based knowledge and information resources, alongside engaging with social policy at domestic and global levels. We work with stakeholders as diverse as government, statutory bodies, private institutions, resource organisations, community groups and coalitions.

PLD welcomes applications for internships and full time employment from those with demonstrated interest in thematic areas of PLD’s work.

PLD is an ideal organisation to develop and strengthen your politics and practice. Our staff is encouraged to build their capacities and enhance their responsibilities over time to grow within the internal structure of the organization. Working with PLD offers exposure to project work as well as women’s rights activism. The organisational policy is designed to facilitate collective spirit, quality, smooth functioning, dignity of labour and mindful use of resources.
