This workshop report explores the dominant understanding of human rights in relation to events in South Asia, pointing out its limitations in relation to women before moving on to discuss the relevance of CEDAW to human rights of women. Examining CEDAW through its core concepts, strategies for application at the local, national and international levels, this report is useful tool for understanding the treaty at work.
