PLD in collaboration with the Legal Aid Committee of NLU Lucknow organized a 4 hour workshop with students on Building Consent Culture: Preventing Sexual Harassment on 30th January 2019 at RMLNLU.

The Workshop was a part of PLD’s Youth Outreach Program called Building Consent Culture: Preventing Sexual Harassment. It was organized by the Legal Aid Committee members and conducted by PLD on discussing Consent-Rejection and their socio-cultural and legal dimensions, Our facilitators used PLD’s video series on consent and rejection to discuss themes of peer pressure and support, ideas of romance and love in cinematic representation, gender and power relations etc. Other important topics discussed were expression of desire and boundaries, coping with rejections/violations and breakups. A bunch of students also volunteered to take the conversations and initiative forward in their campus.

PLD organised a  workshop in collaboration with Humsafar Support Center for women in Lucknow on 1st Feb 2019.

The workshop was with their young leaders on Building a Consent Culture: Preventing Sexual Harassment where our facilitators used PLD’s video series on Consent and Rejection to stimulate a discussion on social and legal dimensions around intimacies, break ups, peer pressure and self harm among other things. The discussion opened a new door to think and reorient our relationship with masculinities and the felt pressure on teenage and young adults. The session ended with a video emphasizing on the need for positive affirmative sexuality and its expression. The youth leaders are going to take these new understandings to their peer circle and foster attitudinal change.
